One of the biggest attractions in the entire Dayton area is the National Museum of the United States Air Force. This museum houses some history’s most famous airplanes inside various hangars. With so many planes to see, we thought we would assemble a list of some of the coolest airplanes in the Air Force Museum.
- Wright Military Flyer
Going way back to some of the first airplanes ever created, the Wright Military Flyer was the first aircraft ever purchased by the United States Military.
- Boeing B-29 Superfortress
The B-29 featured in the Air Force Museum is actually “Bockscar,” the plane that deployed the “Fat Man” nuclear weapon.
