Driving a Chevrolet vehicle is hardly ever a scary experience, thanks to all of Chevrolet’s available safety technologies. However, promotions highlighting that technology can be creatively designed to frighten viewers just a bit. Chevrolet recently found the perfect director for the job!
According to a Chevrolet press release, Sam Raimi has directed a horror trailer highlighting Chevrolet Active Safety Technology.
The movie trailer parody involves members of an audience warning an actress in a horror film of approaching danger.
The premise of the commercial draws inspiration from Chevrolet’s advanced suite of active safety technologies, which warns drivers of potential hazards on the road. The campaign also draws inspiration from Sam Raimi’s experience directing horror movies like Evil Dead.
“We continue to look for unexpected, attention grabbing ways to tell our story,” said Paul Edwards, U.S. vice president of Chevrolet Marketing. “With this trailer, we have thrown a twist into that quintessential, edge of your seat horror movie moment to highlight the comprehensive suite of available active safety technologies in our new Malibu and Cruze.”
